The kenya national examination council has announced it will for the next three years, offer a mid year kcse exam, to allow those who would want to get the certification before the end of the 8-4-4 system. The kcse exams will be offered for the last time in 2027, marking the end of 8-4-4 as the cbc system takes over fully. At the same time, the ministry says it is ready for the transition of grade nine learners to senior secondary school next year.
