Wanafunzi katika bonde la Kerio ambalo hukumbwa mara kwa mara na visa vya utovu wa usalama sasa watalipa karo ya shule ya shilingi elfu-5 kwa mwaka kufuatia agizo lililotolewa na rais William Ruto. Rais anayefanya ziara ya siku tatu ya kikazi katika eneo la North Rift alisema kuwa hatua hiyo inanuiwa kuhakikisha kwamba wanafunzi zaidi wanasajiliwa shuleni na kuzikinga familia ambazo riziki zao zilivurugwa kutokana na utovu wa usalama na mafuriko. Rais pia aliagiza wizara ya usalma wa Taifa kuzipa zaidi ya familia elfu moja zilizopoteza makazi kutokana na ujangili makao mapya katika muda wa mwezi mmoja.
