The vetting of President William Ruto’s nominees to various diplomatic posts commenced today. Appearing before the National Assembly’s committee on Defence and Foreign Affairs, were former Agriculture cabinet secretary Andrew Karanja, who has been nominated as the Kenyan ambassador to Brazil, Former sports Cabinet secretary Ababu Namwamba, a nominee for Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme -UNEP-And Former Deputy IG Noor Gabow, who was appointed as Consul General of the Consulate of Kenya in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Former ICT CS Margaret Ndung’u has declined the nomination as Kenyan ambassador to Ghana.
