Kakamega residents urged to avoid over-the-counter drugs

    Politicians in Kakamega County have been cautioned against politicizing healthcare services, a move stakeholders say misleads residents and drives some to seek treatment from pharmacies and even quack doctors. The warning was issued by stakeholders from the Kakamega County Health Department during a visit to Navakholo County Hospital to oversee the distribution of drugs and assess the hospital’s performance. Drugs worth Ksh 1.8 million have been supplied to the hospital.
