Learners at at a school in Oloililai Sub-County, Kajiado County, can now study in safety after a community-based organization, stepped in to construct a fence, install a gate, and rebuild the school’s water tank destroyed by marauding elephants. This will shield pupils from wild animals and promote a secure learning environment. Head teacher Joseph Tikani expressed relief, saying the new fence will not only protect the learners but also safeguard school property. The community based organization chairman, Paul Mukoma hailed the project as a reflection of what communities can achieve when they work together.
