Residents of Mbotela in Makadara constituency in Nairobi are crying foul, following a demolition exercise that has destroyed over twenty houses. According to the affected residents, the operation, which began early this morning, was carried out without prior eviction notices, rendering many homeless. Despite a court barring the activities, they are now appealing to the county government to intervene, citing the injustice of the action as the land dispute between a private developer and the landowners is still pending in court.
