Ministry of public service and human capital development, PS Amos Gathecha, held a special event at the Kenya School of Government to celebrate retired public service officials.
The event held on Friday, focused on honoring the contributions of retired officers who dedicated their careers to public service. During his speech, PS Gathecha emphasized that retirement is not an endpoint but a transition to new opportunities, encouraging retirees to explore new skills, stay connected, and mentor others. The celebration highlighted the importance of well-being and purpose after retirement. Additionally, the ministry announced that the sha initiative will be a game-changer in the country once fully rolled out, marking a significant step in supporting retirees and public service professionals. PS Amos Gathecha said the government has developed a new pension module for retired officers to access their money.
