President William Ruto has called on all parties involved in the tragic conflict in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo to immediately cease hostilities and take positive actions to allow meaningful dialogue aimed at the restoration of stability. President Ruto who chaired a joint summit of heads of state and government from the East African Community and South African Development Community in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, backed the merger of both Luanda and Nairobi peace processes into a single and coherent initiative towards the resolution of the DRC crisis. DRC President Felix Tshisekedi attended the summit virtually.
