The Non-Governmental Organizations Trade Union in Kenya has voiced its support to the financial restrictions imposed by the United States government under President Donald Trump administration citing inefficiencies in aid distribution by USAID. Speaking at a forum in Homa Bay County, the union’s Secretary General, John Gilbertson, raised concerns over the mismanagement of funds meant for Kenya’s development. He stated that significant financial allocations for key projects have gone underutilized, resulting in stalled initiatives and unmet promises. He however urged county governments to better manage development funds and ensure that external aid is used effectively.
