The Independent Police Oversight Authority has launched investigations into an incident in which four members of the public were shot and seriously injured in Barwessa, Baringo County. IPOA says police acted extrajudicially when they fired live bullets to disperse a crowd that wanted to lynch alleged thieves who are said to have been stealing and slaughtering cattle for sale at a local butchery.
