Kenyans can now access loans at cheaper rates. This comes after most commercial banks slashed interest rates on lending and deposits to a four-month low. This follows the Central Bank of Kenya's ongoing easing policy. The average lending rate by commercial banks has eased by 0.3%, from 17.22% to 16.89%, with some banks reducing their rates to a low of 14%, down from 16%. According to the treasury, this move will help Kenyans have money in their pockets.
