Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has filed an appeal challenging the decision of the lower court to sentence him to 12 years in prison or pay a fine of ksh 52.5 million over a sh 588 million graft case. through his lawyer, Danstan Omari, Waititu argues that the court's findings aggrieved him and has consequently moved to the high court to appeal the decision. Meanwhile, John Kyama Wambua, who is accused of murdering his wife in Huruma estate, Nairobi, has told the court he wants to retract his statement, claiming he was coerced by the police into making it.
