Sulwe FM in partnership with Naitiri sugar has completed the first phase of sugarcane farmer registration in Bungoma with a target of registering 30,000 farmers More than 600 sugarcane farmers got on the roll-on Saturday in Mailo, Webuye West, during a registration exercise organized by Naitiri sugar in partnership with Sulwe FM. The initiative aims to expand sugarcane farming and strengthen the supply chain for sugar production in the region. Naitiri sugar operating under West Kenya Sugar, has been conducting a series of farmer registration drives across Bungoma, targeting a total of 30,000 farmers. Today’s event marked the completion of the first phase of the registration process, which actively involved five constituencies. Local farmers have welcomed the initiative, seeing it as an opportunity to improve their livelihoods and boost the agricultural sector.
