GOVERNOR JAMA SOUNDS ALARM OVER WORSENING DROUGHT IN GARISSA, URGES URGENT ACTION FROM STAKEHOLDERS

Garissa governor Nathif Jama has raised alarm over the rapidly deteriorating drought situation in the county, which he said calls for concerted efforts from all stakeholders and partners to address it. Speaking outside his office after holding a crisis meeting that brought together both National and county representatives, Jama said that drought was already having devastating effects on the communities, livestock, and livelihoods across all sub-counties.
