Students from the Technical University of Kenya vow to protest again next Thursday

Students from the Technical University of Kenya have vowed to protest again next thursday, despite being dispersed by police officers using tear gas canisters. They insist they won’t stop protesting until their university is reopened and learning that has been disrupted for 6 months, resumes.They also condemned the police for using excessive force, saying they have lost all confidence in the government’s ability to resolve their issues despite the appointment of a technical committee. The university has been closed for over two weeks after lectures downed their tools due to unpaid salaries
