Environmental conservation champions in Nyalenda informal settlement in Kisumu County want more waste skips availed and strategically distributed within the araea to facilitate proper waste disposal. Led by Practical Action, the environmental conservationists on Monday conducted a routine clean-up exercise in the area by clearing heaps of open waste and unclogging waterways. They alleged that the public health department as well as the Kisumu County government to roll out more initiatives to sensitize the informal communities on proper waste management.
