Faith-Based Health Facilities Issue 14-Day Ultimatum Over Unpaid NHIF Debts

Faith-based health facilities in the country have issued a 14-day ultimatum to the government to clear outstanding NHIF debts and settle sha claims. Failure to do so, they warn, will lead to the suspension of SHA services in their facilities. The institutions cite financial strain due to unpaid dues. meanwhile, the rural urban private hospitals association (RUPHA) has lifted the suspension of SHA services in its facilities. This follows President William Ruto’s intervention to facilitate payment and verify larger NHIF claims.
