Residents of Sokoke in Ganze Costituency Kilifi County are staring at an imminent Cholera outbreak due to shortage of clean drinking water. The residents have been forced to rely on small dams which are also used by livestock and wild animals. In the Bungale area, although the water they rely on is dirty, residents have been forced to take turns protecting the small dam to prevent the water from further contamination. The residents now want the government to intervene as Cholera cases are already being reported in local dispensaries. A similar situation is affecting residents of Forodhoyo and Mitsedzini areas.
