The broad-based purge in Parliament came to an end today with casualties in various committees of the National Assembly. Kiharu lawmaker Ndindi Nyoro was the first casualty in the shake up with his position as budget committee chairperson handed to Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi of ODM. Ndindi Nyoro, who skipped the election today, has kept out of the public eye even as the National Assembly Majority and Minority Leaders Kimani Ichungwa and Junet Mohamed accused him of favoritism in budget allocations when he served as chair.
