The high court of Kenya has upheld the senate’s decision to impeach Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza, dismissing her legal challenge against the removal. In a ruling delivered by justice Bahati Mwamuye, the court found that the amended petition filed on December 23, 2024, failed to meet the required threshold for overturning the senate’s resolution. As a result, the judge dismissed Mwangaza’s case, affirming her ouster.
