Making Mathematics optional : Government is urged to reconsider the decision

Education stakeholders in Kajiado County have opposed the move by the Ministry of Education to remove mathematics as a compulsory subject for senior secondary. The stakeholders argue that eliminating mathematics as a core subject will negatively impact the students' future opportunities and limit their potential in the job market especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics careers. The were speaking at Oloitoktok Boys School to celebrate its excellent performance in the year's KCSE Exams.
