Residents of Baricho in Magarini Sub-County today held peaceful demonstrations against alleged corruption by police officers in the area. The residents are calling for the immediate transfer of the officer in charge of the Baricho Police Post, accusing him of engaging in bribery and obstructing justice. They also claim that officers at the police post demand bribes from suspects, making it difficult for complainants to get justice. The residents are also calling on the government to take immediate action to restore justice in Baricho.
