Residents of Kericho County are set to benefit from the construction of a Non-Communicable Disease Centre at the Kericho County Referral Hospital that is set to be completed in one and a half years. The Sh. 358 million facility will consist of a modern oncology centre, radiology unit, inpatient wards, isolation cubes, a seven bed ICU, a modern theatre, a burns unit, offices and specialist consultation rooms. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Kericho Governor Erick Mutai stated that the construction of the new facility, which will feature a 220-bed capacity, will address the long-standing shortages the hospital has faced since its establishment in 1948.
