A candidate for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson's position, Robert Akumu Asembo, was hard pressed to explain a warrant of arrest issued against him in a fraud case. Akumu, who is a former Football Kenya Federation official, was convicted in January this year for contravening Section 313 of the Penal Code. As Abdiaziz Hashim now reports, the panel also assessed the suitability of Lillian Wanjiku and Saul Simiyu Wasilwa as they concluded their interviews for the chairperson position.
