After nearly four decades, the thought-provoking Swahili stage play Picha is set to return to the theatre. Written by Mohammed Kameja, the play which is our main focus tonight on Cinemas and Theatre, delves into the harrowing realities of domestic abuse and self-deception, making it as relevant today as it was during its first staging in 1985. Our reporter Jackline Macharia had a sit-down with the play director Martin Kigondu during the rehearsals. Here is what he had to say.
