A Section of Coastal leaders has defended Social Health Insurance fund dismissing the opponents of the new scheme as trying to hoodwink Kenyans. Speaking at Jomo Kenyatta Primary School grounds in Msambweni, Kwale County, Sports and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya highlighted that SHA is functioning effectively, provided the patients are registered. He stated that the government’s agenda is to uplift the likelihood of Kenyans, but unfortunately, some cartels are trying to create barriers.
