Five chiefs abducted by Al Shaabab militants in Mandera two months ago have been released. Speaking in Mombasa Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen says the chiefs are in the hands of Kenyan authorities and the process of uniting them with their families is ongoing. Murkomen has also warned over the re-emergence of criminal gangs in Mombasa and Kwale counties saying the government will crack the whip.
