Kilifi south sub-county police commander Hassan Kochale has dismissed reports circulating online that claim a dangerous gang known as the “panga boys” has emerged in Mtwapa.
Speaking at a press briefing in his Mtwapa office, kochale accused bloggers of spreading false information that is causing unnecessary panic among residents. He clarified that the online videos show a clash between two rival youth groups from a nearby area who were allegedly on a revenge mission. Kochale added that police have launched investigations and will arrest anyone found to have participated in the violence
