A passenger on board the Kenya Airways flight from New York to Nairobi passed on mid-air after suffering a medical emergency Friday. According to a statement from Kenya Airways, the incident occurred aboard flight KQ 003, which had departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York en route to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. Despite the use of onboard medical equipment, the passenger was pronounced dead at 9:10 am, before the plane could land. To seek urgent medical intervention, the flight crew had opted to divert to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. However, following the confirmation of the fatality, and in adherence to international aviation protocols, the aircraft resumed its journey to Nairobi. The plane touched down at JKIA at 10:27am, where it was met by medical personnel, airport security, and other government authorities.
