The Nyahururu- Rumuruti road remained barricaded for the better part of the day as angry residents of Jebi township took to the streets demanding justice for a middle-aged woman who was brutally murdered under unclear circumstances. 23-year-old Susan Nyambura, alias Maggie, went missing on October 19th this year, only for her body to be discovered later on in a maize plantation, prompting the unrest. The irate residents who are decrying a rise in insecurity in the area are, in the meantime, blaming the authorities for what they are calling laxity in pursuing the matter.
