Over 20 families of Ngelani, Mavoko, in Machakos County will be forced to spend the night in the cold, after over ten homes were reduced to rubble at the wee hours of Saturday morning. The residents who were woken up by the destruction claim that individuals suspected to be police officers arrived in several vehicles with concealed number plates and carried out the operation at around 1 am Saturday. The residents have reported the incident to Athi River police station but claim no action has been taken so far.
