Women from Marsabit County have been urged to champion climate justice by taking part in decision-making and leadership among their communities. During a training organized by Defenders Coalition in conjunction with Pastoralist Peoples Initiative the participants noted that women especially in the Global South are often the most affected by the effects of climate change as they are often responsible for gathering food, water, and fuel resources that are becoming more scarce.
