141 sports teachers from primary and secondary schools in KWALE COUNTY have undergone talent development training conducted by the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS). The training covered various disciplines including volleyball, basketball, soccer, handball, and netball. The group included 71 teachers from secondary schools, 36 from junior schools and 34 from primary schools, with 43 female and 98 male participants. The six-day training was aimed at supporting talent development in line with the government's sports policy. Kas chief executive officer Dr. Doreen Odhiambo said the training aligns with the Competence-Based Education (CBE), which focuses on identifying and nurturing talent among students.
