A massive rockfall in Kibendo, Keiyo North, Elgeyo Marakwet County, has left two people dead and several others injured following heavy overnight rains. Governor Wisley Rotich confirmed the incident, noting that the county disaster response team, health personnel, the area chief, and residents acted swiftly to rescue the injured, who were rushed to Iten County Referral Hospital for treatment. He said the victims sustained soft tissue injuries and were treated and discharged, but two people died after a huge rock crashed into their house.
