DCP plegdes support to DP, Wiper, and DAP-K candidates in by-elections

The Mbeere North seat fell vacant after former MP Geoffrey Ruku was appointed to President William Ruto’s Cabinet in March 2025. DCP’s exit comes just days after its initial candidate, Duncan Mbui, ditched the party and declared he would contest as an independent, accusing DCP of betraying his ambition.
