Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya has warned that Kenyans who default on Hustler Fund loans will face restrictions when seeking credit from banks and other financial institutions. Speaking in Mombasa on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Oparanya said the government has partnered with financial institutions to ensure loan defaulters are flagged in the credit system. He cautioned that failure to repay undermines access to the fund by other Kenyans and called on beneficiaries to embrace financial discipline.
