Finance Bill 2025 blamed for economic hardship, 65% of Kenyans affected

    A new survey by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) has revealed that most Kenyans perceive the Finance Bill 2025 as worsening their economic situation by increasing the cost of living and reducing disposable income. According to the report released on Thursday, September 11, 2025, 82 per cent of respondents said the bill has raised the cost of basic goods and services such as food, transport, and utilities, while 31 per cent reported higher taxes on salaries and income.
