Kenya is set to harvest a record 70 million bags of maize in 2025, up from 67 million last year, and more than double the 34.3 million bags recorded in 2022. This according to agriculture cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe, who also says the expected bumper harvest is a result of government’s fertiliser subsidy programme.
