The Cabinet Secretary in charge of Gender, Culture, and Children services, Ms. Hanna Wendot Cheptumo, has ordered the police to arrest four brothers who were seen on a video assaulting their sister for her refusal to reunite with her husband.
The video that went viral on social media platforms showed the woman, by the name Millicent Rotiken, crying for help as four men assaulted her with long sticks.
The CS reiterated that the act is illegal and the four culprits should be apprehended and punished accordingly for infringing on the right of the woman.
