Emotions ran high in Longonot, Naivasha as six of the eight family members who died in the Mai Mahiu dam tragedy were laid to rest. The six who included four minors were laid to rest in Longonot public cemetery in a ceremony attended by area MP Jane Kihara, tens of survivors and residents. This as the government says two more people have been killed by floods over the past 24 hours bringing to 291 the number of fatalities so far.
