African countries have been urged to embrace dialogue and local mediation in solving diplomatic and boarder conflicts. According to Tanzanian authors James Zotto and Maxmillan Chuhila in their book titled hurdles and prospects of African integration the authors have highlighted hurdles and prospects of African integration with Western Sahara dispute as a case study. According to the two authors challenges that are hindering African integration include historical divisions, economic disparities, security concerns, and infrastructure deficits and governance complexities.
