Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi has retained his position as chair of the Council of governors while Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga was re-elected Deputy chairman. Tharaka Niithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, who has been chair, health committee now becomes the new whip. Fernandes Barasa will continue serving as the chair of the finance committee, while Abdulswamad Nassir, was elected the new health committee chair. The new team says it will prioritise complete transfer of and costing of devolved functions and protect devolution.
