Angry residents from Kakuzi in Gatanga Muranga county have taken to the streets to push for the split of the larger Gatanga constituency into two.The residents accused their local leaders including area member of parliament Edward Muriu, Muranga governor Irungu Kangata and other elected leaders of giving them a raw deal on matters development. The residents now want to have a new constituency called Kakuzi so that they can get development and services near them saying the current MP concentrates much on the lower Gatanga that stretches from Ndakaini, Kirwara, and Jogoo Kimakia.
