Jeshi la Israeli limetoa kanda ya video Jumatatu (Julai 8) ambayo ilisema inaonyesha majeshi yake yakifanya operesheni huko Gaza, wakati matumaini ya sitisho la mapigano kati ya Israel na Gaza yakifufuliwa.
Reuters haikuweza kupata uthibitisho huru wa sehemu au tarehe ambayo video hiyo ilipochukuliwa.
Mapema Jumatatu, majeshi ya Israeli yaliushambulia mji wa Gaza City na vifaru vilisonga mbele kuingia katikati ya mji huo kutoka maeneo tofauti katika kile wakazi walisema ni moja ya mashambulizi makubwa sana tangu Oktoba 7.
Idara ya Huduma za Dharura kwa Raia Gaza ilisema inaamini darzeni ya watu waliuawa lakini timu za huduma za dharura zilikuwa haziwezi kuwafikia kwa sababu ya mashambulizi yanayoendelea katika eneo.
Jeshi la Israeli lilisema katika taarifa yake ilikuwa inafanya operesheni dhidi ya miundombinu ya wanamgambo katika Ukanda wa Gaza, iliweza kuwaondoa zaidi ya wapiganaji wa Palestina 30 ambao walikuwa ni tishio kwa majeshi ya Israeli.
