The High Court has today ruled that retiring governors and their deputies are not entitled to a defined pension scheme. The high court decided in a case filed by the council of Governors against the salaries and Remuneration Commission, challenging the commission’s decision that declared the proposed defined benefit pension scheme unaffordable and fiscally unsustainable.
