A family in Karatina is demanding for justice after their 19-year-old son was shot and injured during the ‘nane nane’ protests in Karatina town. The family of Wycliff Thiong’o who is admitted in ICU at Kenyatta National Hospital says he was not involved in the protests and that he was on his way home from work when he was shot by masked security officers. Thiong’o is among eight people who were left with gunshot injuries during the protests in Karatina town last Thursday.
