President William Ruto has defended the University Funding model maintaining it will aid families in footing their children fees in institutions of higher learning. Speaking during the 42nd graduation ceremony of the University of Eastern Africa Baraton in Nandi County, the Head of State maintained that the decision taken by his administration will continue facing opposition but assured parents they will appreciate the model down the line. Ruto further stated that the scholarships available for the first years set to join their respective institutions in September has increased from 80% to 95% to cushion the vulnerable households.
