The national carrier Kenya Airways has recorded 513 million shillings net earnings for the first half year of 2024. The earnings represent a clear bounce back to profitability after ten years. According to CEO Allan Kilavuka, the profit was pegged on reduced exposures from foreign currency fluctuations and the restructuring of its loans by the state. The growth now represents a rebound of up to 102 percent from the 21.7 billion loss that the airline posted in a similar period last year. Jimmy Mbogoh now takes a look at the airline's performance for the first half of this year.
