Jamii yazika miili ya waliofariki katika mafuriko jimbo la Red Sea nchini Sudan
Baadhi ya sehemu za mashariki mwa Sudan zimekumbwa na mafuriko baada ya bwawa kuvunjika na kuharibu vijiji 20 na kusababisha vifo vya watu 30.
Mvua kubwa zimesababisha mafuriko yaliyojaza bwawa la Arbaat mnamo Jumapili, kilomita 40 kaskazini mwa Port Sudan, mji ambao sasa unatumika kama makao makuu ya serikali, wanadiplomasia, mashirika ya misaada na watu waliokoseshwa makazi kutokana na vita vya miezi kadhaa kati ya jeshi na kikosi cha kijeshi cha RSF.
Umoja wa Mataifa umesema kwamba karibu watu 50,000 wameathiriwa na mafuriko, na kwamba huenda idadi hiyo inajumuisha tu watu waliokuwa wanaishi magharibi mwa bwawa hilo na kwamba si rahisi kuwafikia watu walio mashariki mwa bwawa. - Reuters
