Three attempts by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to block the national assembly and senate from processing an impeachment motion have failed, paving the way for the motion to be tabled tomorrow. Through former UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala the sheria mtaani lobby group and Caroline Wambui Mwangi, Gachagua argues that parliament is not properly constituted to give him a fair hearing. While the case is certified as urgent, the process can still continue unless the court intervenes.
